About the Author

As an entrepreneur Lucy was founder and CEO of Gravestone Cleaning LLC, a company dedicated to preserving burial and stone monuments. Lucy participated in workshops for professionals and lay persons wishing to gain knowledge in memorial preservation. She has over 10 years’ experience in memorial preservation. Lucy was a team leader that performed organizational and workload-based manpower studies. She was awarded the Superior Civilian Award presented by the Army Assistant Secretariat at her retirement ceremony.

It is this career that provided the who, what, and why to solve organizational issues that became the basics for research involved. Who is responsible; Why are memorials unkept; and What needs to be done? Ultimately this research revealed education being the core issue. Lack of education generated the mission of Gravestone Secrets to help preserve our American cemeteries for future generations.
