Great Translation, Great Notes, Essential Read

If you are looking for a book including Plato's most essential writings for a price that will not dissuade you, your search is over. Rouse's translation is rich and his notes provide wonderful insight into Greek customs, Homer's works (to which Plato refers copiously in the Republic), and Plato's texts themselves. Must buy!

    Hooked

I'm very particular when it comes to books, at least ones that are not mystery/suspense novels, so when I was hooked by simply reading the sample I knew it was wonderful.
