William Samuel Lilly (1840-1919) was an English writer, specializing in religion, politics, and sociology. He held the post of secretary of the Catholic Union of Great Britain for twenty years. His best-known works include Ancient Religion and Modern Thought (1884), India and its Problems (1902), Christianity and Modern Civilization (1903), and Studies in Religion and Literature (1904).
