VERY VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! CHECK IT OUT NOW!!

If you want to help your baby develop the best possible physical vehicle for his or her future, a balanced diet of real foods is the way to go. So say Jeannette L. Bessinger and Tracee Yablon-Brenner in Best Food for Your Baby & Toddler, and they should know - just take a look at their credentials. And they say it well. This book is heavy laden with information on baby nutrition, from birth and breast feeding to age three and finicky eaters. Then, for good measure, they throw in some tips for helping guide children in eating well as they move forward in life. Baby's first year is divided into four age groups and guidelines on best feeding practices for each age are given, including storing breast milk, when to start solid foods, best foods for each age range, and allergy prevention and treatment. Advice for toddlers from age twelve to eighteen months includes coping with food preferences, key nutrients, portion guides and feeding a sick toddler. In the section on feeding children from eighteen months to three years, tips on dealing with fussy are provided, as well as ideas on portion control, external cues about what and when to eat, and best ways to cope with meals away from home. The authors point out that these months are our chance to set the stage for a lifetime of healthy eating. And then there's more! There's a great chapter on safe food preparation and kitchen organization and lots of great recipes for the different age ranges, some so good they make me hungry. Bon Appetite, babies!
