Great Jobs for Everyone 50+: Finding Work That Keeps You Happy and Healthy ... And Pays the Bills [NOOK Book]

Overview

A 2010 study from the RAND Corporation shows that a sizeable portion of the U.S. population first retires and then "unretires," an act researchers find is primarily by design and not the result of unexpected circumstances. What People Are Saying

From the Publisher
“It's not enough anymore to know what you want to be when you grow up. You also need to think about what you want to do next, and after that, and then during retirement, too. Fortunately, a thick brainstorm of a book by Kerry Hannon, Great Jobs for Everyone 50+, can help job-seeking baby boomers — and those right on their heels — find work that, as the subtitle puts it, keeps them happy, healthy and able to pay the bills…. It's a lot of ground to cover, but Hannon's practical, empowering book is an all-encompassing career resource for older workers in a variety of life situations.”—USA Today

    Questionable Title

Although this book covers a very broad range of job options, if you are actually looking for a job, this book will probably not be of much help. Playing Santa Claus? Working at an MLB Spring Training Camp? Holiday decorator?

Save the money you would spend on the book and put together a great resume, start networking, check job listings in your area on websites and you will have a much better change of landing a job.
