Another take on a guy NOT from PHilly

Glen Macnow, from NY, spends all his time on radio talking about food and movies and thinks he's an authority on Philly sports. If you're gonna "push" a book on Philly about the fans, then misrepresent them, then talk about sports and not food and movies all the time so you can have a better grasp on the fans and not which restaurant has the best wings!! I mean, you ARE a sports talk host right? Gargano is legit, this other guy NOT!!!!!

a must read for Philly fans

all TRUE philly fans will appreciate this book. the authors nail it right on the head how we, the fans deal with heartbreak, yet still love our teams year after crushing defeat year. i shed a few tears during the first chapter. GO BIRDS!

    Great Job Guys

This book is great. Both authors are Phill natives. Macnow is a professor at St. Joes and both of them are sports radio hosts keeping them in touch with the most dedicated, provincial, loyal and heartbroken fans in the country. This book explains a lot of the falacies that the media has written about. Read it and be informed...that goes for you especially Joe Theisman so you never have to make up stories again.

    No such thing as 110%

Get your math straight - Cliches are irritating. You seem to have the brain of a typical athelete (or Philly fan for that matter)..

    Philadelphia Fans

Remember the good old days..Kate Smith, snowballs, Buddy ball,, they are all here in this great book. If you have teenagers who have never seen a championship team or the Good old days, this is the book for them and for you.. Easy reading with all the facts and figures you would ever want. I have been waiting for this kind of book for a long time....

    Who is this book respresenting?

This book was very informative. However, this book was supposed to have been a representation of the 'philly fan' - not the opinion OF fans from the two individual authors, one of which is NOT even from Philadelphia! Also, to call Charles Barkley a dissapointment is rediculous! If there is one athlete that philly fans love and adore, and who also brought 110% each night he played, it was Barkley! Can someone tell the authors?
