Meet the Author

Dr. Dale Lumpa has been in the education field for over 27 years. He is currently an educator at Charles Hay World School in Englewood, Colorado. He has been at Charles Hay for 15 years--the first eight as principal. He made the change from administration to teacher to integrate fitness and wellness into the lives of school stakeholders. Before moving to Colorado, he was the principal of Lawson Elementary, prior to which he was principal of Simonsen Junior High, both in Jefferson City, Missouri. Dr. Todd Whitaker is recognized as a leading motivational speaker in the field of education. Todd is a professor of educational leadership at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana, and has spent his life researching and studying effective teachers and principals. He has served as a principal at the middle school, junior high, and high school levels and as a middle school coordinator in charge of staffing, curriculum, and technology for the opening of new middle schools.
