Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Greatest Hits is a reasonably comprehensive collection of Joan Baez's best-known songs, concentrating mainly on her crossover hits. Although it misses several fine items, the compilation remains an effective introduction for the curious listener.

    I LOVE HER AND.............

I just LOVE JOAN BAEZ ~~~and this CD has her in a clear..clean young voice !!

I originally did have this on a cassette tape. Now no cassette player so I'ts been awhile since I listened to it.

There are so many songs I love on this CD----but Diamonds and Rust is one of the favorites.

All I can really tell you --is that this CD is Clean, clean , clean and I highly recommend it for all !!

    Different

Joan Baez was always the principled member of the Folkies. Her soprano voice and crossover appeal shine on this record above any of her successors, including Bob Dylan, the subject of her jaded love song "Diamonds and Rust." She plays classics of other people like "Imagine" while not seeming fake. Baez is a survivor in the dog-eat-dog world of record publishing.
