Greatest Hits [Barnes & Noble Exclusive]by Linda Eder
Linda Eder's Greatest Hits assembles a winning collection of the Broadway star's finest recorded work, ranging from stirring ballads to swinging up-tempo numbers. Several of the selections are the fruit of Eder's partnership with Frank Wildhorn (the composer of Jekyll & Hyde, as well as Eder's husband); songs like "Bring On the Men," "A New Life," and "Someone Like You" reveal the special alchemy of this inspired pairing. Other selections from Eder's albums Broadway My Way and It's Time reaffirm her status as one of today's leading ladies of musical theater, firmly in the Streisand tradition, while tracks from the albums By Myself: The Songs of Judy Garland and It's No Secret Anymore demonstrate her incredible range and power. Sampling highlights from musicals including Funny Girl, Man of La Mancha, La Cage aux Folles, and others, the disc is a fitting showcase for Eder's talents and a welcome addition to any collection of contemporary showtunes.

Outstanding song choices from an outstanding female vocalist.
This is a great selection of Linda Eder's most requested songs from her Broadway and concert performances. The power, range and beauty of her voice shine through in each of these show-stopping numbers. What an incredible talent! I am also Looking forward to her new album to be released in Jan 08 with new original songs.
I own 4 Linda Eder CDs and this is the best selection of music. What a voice - she sings to the heart. Highly recommend this CD
"I Want More" Linda Eder -- She is not only incredibly talented (just listen to "What Kind of Fool Am I") but she admits she loves to tackle songs that are normally only sung by men ("Man of La Mancha") and Linda blows that rendition out of the park! This CD really showcases her range and versatility....if you have not "discovered Linda Eder" you are missing out on the best female vocalist around.
I first heard Linda Eder on a daytime show that was showcasing Broadway talent, and fell in love with her version of SOMEONE LIKE YOU from Jekyll & Hyde. I wanted a CD (earlier version was cassette) with her work on it, but was not at all prepared for the Fitch Brothers Radio Edit version (I somehow didn't notice this at time of purchase) of SOMETHING TO BELIEVE IN; this is like a disco version of the slower romantic love song. Since these two aforementioned songs were the ones I knew best from Ms. Eder, you might imagine my disappointment at NOT getting what I had expected.
