Standout cuts like "True Companion," "Silver Thunderbird," "Rest for the Weary," and the aforementioned "Memphis" dutifully articulate Cohn's penchant for Everyman heartbreak and blue-collar drama, and A-list guest stars like David Crosby, Martin Sexton, Rosanne Cash, and Patty Griffin provide key moments, but this is Cohn's show. He may be the audio equivalent of meat loaf and mashed potatoes, but there's a reason it's called comfort food.

I'd go Walking with Marc Cohn anytime!

Quality musicianship, thoughtful songwriting. This CD offers a peaceful, melodic backdrop to a weekend houseparty. You can put it in your mixer and hit scramble or repeat for several days of enjoyable listening. Highly recommended for music lovers of many genres.
