Overview

A CD reissue featuring the best novelty/dance cuts and ballads from Midnight Star. They symbolized, along with Lakeside, the Whispers, and Shalamar, the Solar sound. It wasn't too earthy, yet also wasn't overly sophisticated or stiff. They lacked great singers, so they surrounded the vocalists with entertaining arrangements. It was well done, but inevitably became dreary once they began repackaging it for every act on the roster. ~ Ron Wynn
