This is going to take a little explaining. In 1981, when it was contracted to Elektra Records in the U.S., Queen released an album called Greatest Hits Elektra 564, which contained 14 songs that chronicled singles from 1973 to 1981. Hollywood released Classic Queen, a compilation that covered Queen's hits from 1982 to its demise in 1991, with a few older songs thrown in. Then it released this album, its version of Greatest Hits, which is a 17-track album that deletes the songs from the first Greatest Hits that appeared on Classic ...

The Elektra Greatest Hits LP had a superior selection, but it's gone now, so you're stuck with this. New fans don't seem to have minded, as this new Greatest Hits sold better than the first one.

All but one hit is here.

I don't understand this compilation very well. It has all of Queen's important hits. All except "Bohemian Rhapsody"! Sure there are some "Greatest Hits" compilations that may have a couple of omitted hits, but of all the songs, it had to be Queen's signature song! That song probably would have went perfectly right between "Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy" and "I Want to Break Free". Other than that, all the huge hits are here. I probably would have excluded "Body Language", but it's still okay.

    queen rocks

Queen really rocks on this album beacuse they have some of the greatest songs on this album. Another one bites the dust is one of the best songs I have ever heard. Buy this album today, but don't shake your house down. I know I will have my cd player blastin' to this album. I give it a rating of *****!!!!!!

    Just needs Bohemian Rhapsody!

Every song on the album is a good one, as is what should be true with a greatest hits compilation. But my true favorite, Bohemian Rhapsody, is not here. That is the only problem, and why Hollywood Records excluded it is beyond me. However, I noticed there is also a 2 CD Queen Greatest Hits from Hollywood Records which has pretty much this whole cd+Bohemian Rhapsody on 1 cd, and a good number on the other. I would suggest that by far.
