Barnes & Noble - David McGee
For better or worse, McGraw's success marks him as one of the standard-bearers of modern mainstream country, his uptempo material reflecting the melding of '70s rock quotes with hard country thrust, his ballads leaning on the tried-and-true arena rock formula of whispered verses exploding into Wagnerian orchestral choruses. Greatest Hits does an exemplary job of mapping those two poles in McGraw's most successful work. Ten of the album's 15 cuts were No. 1 singles, and three of the four others were Top 10. Greatest Hits does an exemplary job of mapping those two poles in McGraw's most successful work. Ten of the album's 15 cuts were No. 1 singles, and three of the four others were Top 10. All in all, it's an impressive representation of the McGraw juggernaut, beginning with his controversial breakthrough single "Indian Outlaw," and encompassing such monster hits as "Where the Green Grass Grows," the Rodney Crowell/Will Jennings power ballad "Please Remember Me," and the powerful duet with his bride Faith Hill, "It's Your Love." Given the reception audiences have afforded McGraw on his sold-out "Soul 2 Soul 2000" tour with Ms. Hill, the near future seems likely to offer more where this came from.
All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Greatest Hits lives up to its title, offering the bulk of Tim McGraw's big hits over the course of its 15 tracks. Thankfully, there are no new recordings to bait hardcore fans -- just "Let's Make Love," the duet with Faith Hill that originally appeared on her Breathe album. Consequently, this is one of the rare modern-day incidences of a Greatest Hits that really offers all the hits, and nothing but, which not only makes it a boon to fans, but also makes it the most consistent record in McGraw's catalog.

    Best CD Ever!!!!

I love this CD. It is one of the best ever. All of his songs someone can relate to. It can really touch the heart. This CD has songs on it that I grew up listening to becasue some of the songs are really old and some are new. I really like the song ''Don't Take the Girl'' because I can relate to it. The reason that this CD is so wonderful is because someone could listen to it all day and not get tired of the CD. When I think of a Greatest Hits this one is the best!

    The Greatest Ever

This CD is one of the best I have ever listened to. Tim makes it a point to describe some of his own personal experiences in many of his songs. This allows the listener to relate to the artist. This CD is a combination of all of Tim McGraw's greatest songs. I would recommend it to anyone who appreciates listening to country music. It is an outstanding example of a hard working singer's personal accomplishments.

One Of the Best Cd's ever made

This cd includes every amazing song that Tim has ever written. He has a way of inspiring people through the words and images he represents. His song, ''Don't Take The Girl'', moves me to tears ever time I hear it. Tim is the best (in music and looks), and I hope he continues for years to come, to sing for us and inspire us.

    Tim McGraw is Awesome!

Well, as you may know, i absolutley love listening to all kinds of music. My Dad used to listen to some country music and, yes, I used to love listening to the music with him. It was a way to spend time with him as a kid. Now, as I remember my Father and how we used to go downtown and on mall trips as a little girl, I remmeber listening to Tim McGraw with him and laughing about funny things that happen. So, if you enjoy Country or just want to hear somethinf new and different, go out and buy this CD. You'll love it-trust me.
