This doesn't necessarily mean that the album is a full-blown excavation of the Goo Goo Dolls beginnings, as it does focus on their major-label years, often digging fairly deep -- or at least far enough to exclude such MTV-ready singles as "We Are the Normal," cut before the days of "Iris." That breakthrough hit is here in demo form, providing one of the collection's lightest moments, but its very presence accentuates how this collection is designed to rope in diehards who have been around since the beginning and probably wish the Goo Goo Dolls never cut "Name." Featuring a bunch of high-octane rock & roll with everything that phrase suggests, this is a good way for devoted fans to catch a lot of the band's better latter-day hard rock material and some rarities.

    loving the goo

best combination of music combined together in one set with all the chart topping hits. plus, the video dvd bonus included as well. along with live performances from redrocks. if you love the hits like &quot iris&quot , &quot let love in&quot , &quot name&quot , and more then this is the disc/dvd combo for you. definitely worth buying if you haven't already. talk about a night's worth of entertainment of music from the chart topping hits that hit radio, tv, and all over the net all over the world. you can also check it out at their official goo site, or stop over at warner bros for info. on the guys. and their music.

    Diggin' Goo

I'm usually not a fan of 'best of's' because that usually means that a band's best work is behind them. But the fact that The Goo Goo Dolls have be around over 20 years this collection pretty much had to be put out. B-Sides Rule!! Check out String of Lies and the Demo to Iris. The DVD is pretty killer too! John was rockin' a mean Mullet! Oh and Robby's voice kills. Buy at least 2 copies each.
