The most convenient GNT to bring with you to a church service

With this edition, my girlfriend can look over my shoulder and read the English page while I read the Greek! One page is in the traditional Nestle-Aland 4th ed, while the other page has their English translation.

The strength of the English translation is that it contains an apparatus that attempts to do with the English what the Greek does in its apparatus. It tells many of the significant variants among English translations via symbols and abbreviations in the footnotes. That way, for example, I can quickly see where the KJV differs from the NIV and the NRSV. It is a quick tool that makes it easy when I am teaching a class where people are following along using different English translations.

Personally, I would like for the edition to have the Greek on the left and the English on the right CONSISTENTLY, instead of alternating back and forth every page. It is designed so that page X has the Greek on the left, page Y has the Greek on the right, page Z is back on the left, and so forth. The set-up is good for readability, but searching for a given passage takes a bit longer that way.

This edition is especially good for slower Greek readers, because it allows them the option of reading along in English, but then checking the original Greek immediately afterward. I will never part with my USB 27, or my regular NA4, but I can get much more use our of this edition.
