Children's Literature - Trudy Shiroma Koeffler
The book begins with words to know, words most likely unknown words to young children. The pages then proceed to show animals that are green. These animals include frog, turtle, butterfly, beetle, spider, fly, snake, lizard and duck. Each page has a vibrantly colored photograph of that particular animal, showing details of it. The last page of the story ends with a gorgeous photo collage of all the animals depicted in the book with the text “green animals.” The book concludes with a list of books and websites the child can investigate to learn more about green animals. This “All About a Rainbow of Animals” series book could be used to enhance a science lesson and learn more about each animal and its habitat. It can also be used at school or at home to simply help a young child learn about colors and would be a great addition to classroom or home library. Reviewer: Trudy Shiroma Koeffler; Ages 3 to 5.
School Library Journal
PreS—Living things including insects, amphibians, birds, reptiles, fish, and mammals are grouped according to color. Only two words are used to describe each photo such as "yellow fish," "green snake," "blue spider," except for the last page, which depicts an animal with partial coloration such as "duck with a green head" or "owl with yellow eyes." The texts are brief and meant to reinforce color concepts, and the photos are clear close-ups. Because of the books' simplicity, children will feel as if they are really reading, and they'll pause to explore the engaging illustrations.—Sandra Welzenbach, Villarreal Elementary School, San Antonio, TX

Falconsoar stood. "I vote Aurorstar, fo one," he said. "Second, no offense to her, but Petalstorm was not a good choice for deputy in my opinion. She just joined, where there are other cats who have been in this clan .any moons, and have contributed more that she ever could, yet were looked over. Shiningmoon and Dawnpelt for example, or Ashstorm, all have been in the clan much longer and in my opinion are better choices. Even I have been here longer than Petalstorm, and I have only been here four moons." <p> "I vote Aurorastar," Oceanstorm stated quietly before going back to the Medicine Den.

Doepaw nodded, then stepped forward and touched noses with Amberspirit. Bright blue eyes shining with excitement, "I can't wait to start training!" She meowed as the apprentice pulled away. ~Happy Doepaw You forgot Rattletrap xD Ill include him anyways Rattletrap dipped his head, keeping a blank stare at the crowd. His name was cheered among his now clanmates. He, for once, let himself be happy and cracked a dazing smile. ++Rattketrap
