Excellent book for all Iguana lovers!

Excellent book to update yourself on iguana info. The info on Iguana care has changed through the years and James Hatfield has written the perfect book. It is very easy to read and very entertaining. You would expect for an iguana book to be very dry. James does a great job of keeping your attention! Great Book!

    Good Investment for Ig owners

I bought this book because I got a new ig.-a female. We have 4 males but I knew nothing about a female. I needed lots of help. I have enjoyed the info. in this book and have learned quite a bit more than I already knew, which I thought was a lot. I like reading about others that have igs and their stories that are in this book. It is nice the author included this. It adds a lot to the book.

A must for every iguana owner

This book is a comprehensive guide to the successful keeping of green iguanas (iguana iguana). It outlines in plain English all of the requirements necessary to keep these animals, including habitat, food and medical diagnosis and care. It definitely is a must-read for anyone contemplating the purchase of a green iguana, for such animals require far more care and maintenance than a typical house pet such as a cat or dog. While it relies a bit too much on anecdotal reports from iguana owners, the reduction of biological and medical terminology does make the book accessible to the average pet owner who has recently bought an iguana or is contemplating buying one. This book definitely should be purchased BEFORE one buys an iguana, but it should certainly be in the library of anyone who has an iguana now.

    The Ultimate 'Reference' Manual

This manual is very 'user friendly' and is a must-have if you are planning to have an iguana for a pet, or if you already own an iguana. The book covers what to look for from purchasing a pet, what to do when you get him/her home, the diet, the importance of heat, how to tame your iguana, how to achieve trust in each other, how to choose a vet, to building the ultimate habitat. As I read the manual I felt more at ease and not alone, as there were actual quotes from other owners that had already experienced the learning process I was going thru. I recommend this as a 'must-have.'
