Meet the Author

Chris Prelitz is a noted author, "green building" consultant and sustainability advocate. He is also a graduate of Duke Universities Environmental Leadership Program.Chris is a pioneer of the green movement, and has been a passionately involved with high performance green building and sustainability for over 25 years. The depth of his experience spans an off-grid solar community in Taos, New Mexico, the first permitted solar powered residence in Southern California and the first ever solar powered, LEED certified auto dealership for Mercedes Benz in Arizona.He has successfully green renovated and remodeled hundreds of homes and buildings. A recent ‘green flip’ was featured on the premier episode of Greenovate on the Discovery Channel.     Great Green Guidebook

    Chris has done a great job of simplifying the myriad of choices out there. I'v ebeen a greenie for a long time, and I even learned a lot. And, what he's done real well is sho how to save 44 at the same time. Almost highly recommend...except that I'd like more pictures.
