The musical style of Creedence Clearwater Revival is best described as swamp rock: a combination of rock, blues, and country. As it did all throughout its brief run, CCR made an outstanding album in Green River. The style of John Fogerty's acoustic-electric guitar is so astounding, as is his songwriting. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I Also Recommend:
John Fogerty created a unique sound and the band remained great as long as John was allowed to control that sound. This is another great album with the boys exploring American music even though all but one of the songs is written by John. John has such a feel for the country and writes in a way that connects with that country, yet manages to make music that is unmistakably his. A true treasure. Was this review helpful?
