A green wedding and it doesn't have to be your wedding colors!

As you plan your wedding, you can think about being GREEN. I don't mean your wedding colors need to be green but that you can be environmentally conscious of the things you include in your wedding plans. A copy of THE GREEN WEDDING GUIDE can help you do this.

Over 100 pages provide you with ways to have a green wedding that include the invitations, flowers and favors, gifts and even the clothes, reception and Honeymoon! Begin with the invitations by creating your own from recycled paper. There are three projects that will guide you on how to do this and if you add your own touch, it will be personally yours.

The wedding dress of course is one of the easiest to be green on. Wear your mom's, grandmother's or if you are fortunate enough to have it --- your great-grandmother's gown. Besides all the wonderful memories, you can save money as well as be green. Even the rings can be green by recycling old gold jewelry, passing down rings from previous generations or finding THE one in an antique store.

Location, location, location! It is yet another thing that can help make your wedding green. Have it at a place that is local to the majority of your guests and the cost of transportation will be low. And another way to save is to have an outdoor wedding in a garden of a friend or relative - no chapel costs.

Music, vows and decorations are all other things to think about when planning a green wedding. Included are recipes for foods and projects for fans or "rice" packets, the reception will not be left out of the green plan. With a little bit of thought and this book, you too can be environmentally conscious and yet have the wedding of your dreams.
