I almost passed up this book because I am looking to create a greenhouse that can fit into my small/apartment-ish setting and thought this might be only something for bigger greenhouse projects. I am most happy I didn’t pass it up since it has given me every little bit of information I need to build my own greenhouse that fits my specific space and lighting challenges. Even better, it explained important details that I might not have considered until it was too late and I had lost my crops. In particular, it was a big help to read the explanation and details for deciding between glass or plastic materials, etc. Can’t wait to get started!

This book is a great introduction/guide for anyone deciding if they want to build a greenhouse. It gives a good summary of the different types of greenhouses, the variety of options for materials, and gives advice on making accurate cost estimates. After all of the great advice on building a greenhouse, it gives a rundown of how to use the greenhouse to grow a variety of plants. Whether you want to grow food, flowers, or more exotic plants this guide will help you decide how to build and use your dream greenhouse!

This book will not only guide you on what you need to build it, it will also tell you whether you actually really need one. It will walk you through the process from choosing a location, to construction materials you need, to what features do you need, the lighting, flooring, etc. Very informative.

I got a lot of helpful tips from this book. I've almost finished a little "starter" greenhouse already on my back porch and this book saved me several costly errors in the process. I think once all is said I will have something that works for what I would like and I won't end up baking my plants- which would have been the result if I used the materials I had orginally planned. So already this book has saved me a good amount of money and a ton of frustration too! Excited to see the results! The book is really easy to read too, and really spoke to me as a layman. You definitely don't need to be a professional green thumb to get great value here!
