Gregory is more than a fussy eater; he is a picky, terrible eater. Instead of eating what his parents think is appropriate for goats to eat (e.g., tin cans), Gregory prefers fruit, vegetables, eggs, fish, bread, and butter. His parents devise with a plan to gradually wean him away from his favorite foods by introducing him gradually to their versions of "goat food." The plan involves mixing goat food with Gregory's favorite junk foods—for example, string beans and a shoelace. As they had hoped, Gregory begins to enjoy eating neckties, swing baskets, a broken violin, and more. In fact, his eating exceeds their expectations. He starts eating so much that his parents resort to calling him a pig. However, Gregory gradually achieves the right balance between healthy and junk food. We leave him as he is enjoying a "good" breakfast of scrambled eggs, two pieces of waxed paper, and a glass of juice. This delicious book turns on its head what is healthy and what is junk food. It will not only delight young readers, but will hopefully have the intended consequence of teaching children and parents a lesson about improving children's' eating habits. Reviewer: Judith Zorfass

    AWESOME!

    This was my favorite book as a child and I suggest it for any child - not just picky eaters! I loved this book so much I even named my son Gregory!! I can't wait to read it to him!!!

    One of the greatest...

    I have to let you all in on a wonderful story of an horrible eater named Gregory! It has to be one of my favorite children books I was so very forunate to read as a child. It's a very cute story, and any child would love it!

    Caitlin, a 7th grade home schooler

    I brought this once to read to my little 3 y.o. friend at the pool club once, and she loves it! She keeps on borrowing it (She has it right now) and when ever I goto the pool, she asks me if I brought the goat book!
