Darryl W. Perry is an Activist/ Author/ Comedian/ Photographer/ Philosopher/ Poet & Statesman.
Darryl W. Perry was born and raised in Birmingham, AL and the surrounding area; graduating from Hewitt-Trussville High School in 1996. Darryl attended Jefferson State Community College on a Scholarship with the Speech Team (Forensics Team), and later on a Management Scholarship with WJSR-FM, the college radio station, of which Darryl was Station Manager from Summer of 1997 until he graduated in 1998. In addition to being a DJ and Station Manager of the college radio station, Darryl was also a reporter for The Pioneer, the college newspaper.
His first book 1776 & Today: Why We Need A New American Revolution was published in the spring of 2008 and was turned into a documentary. Darryl has appeared on several internet broadcasts talking about his book and his political career and goals; which include being the 2004 Libertarian Party candidate for Pennsylvania State Treasurer; 2007 candidate for Mayor of Birmingham, Alabama; 2008 Alabama Statesmen/Boston Tea Party nominee/write-in candidate for US Senate and Darryl will be running for President in 2016.
