There once was a grey lady who loved strawberries. One day she went to market to buy some big, juicy, oh-so-yummy, strawberries. The old man who worked at the produce stand gave the grey lady her berries. As she walked out of the market with her basket in hand, someone spied her from around the corner. It was the Strawberry Snatcher! He tucked his hands behind his back and slowly crept behind her. After passing by the town bakery, the Grey Lady catches the Strawberry Snatcher trying to steal her berries and the chase begins! Through the town and the deep, dark, forest, the Strawberry Snatcher chases the grey lady. Will the Strawberry Snatcher catch the grey lady and take her berries or will he find something that he likes even more than strawberries? Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I remember reading this book at least once a week or more in my elementary school library. It got to where I simply walked in the door and the librarian would point me to the rack where I always placed it back. As I read I made up the story for myself, and I always changed it, too. I'm now 16, and want to purchase an original 1980 copy for my future children...and I might flip through it now and then, too. It makes the child, adult, or teen reader use their imagination as they look at the exceptionally illustrated pictures. I would recommend thisbook to anyone for them or their children. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
