    Great Grim Read

This is a great version of the Grimm's tales. It shows the true meaning that was meant for the Grimm Tales. These are not the fairy tales that you have read in most version. It is translated the most accurately it possibly can be from it's original German writing and it a spectacular read. It is very gruesome at blunt at times, but all of the stories really teach you a lesson or moral. If you are older and are interested in reading the real Grimm's tales, then this is the book for you.

    Book for all ages

This book is true to the Grimms' original edition. This book is not just for children. Adults too can enjoy the old tales in this collection. Of course I highly reccomend Ashputtle.

Best translation of classic fairy tales

Many have heard various adaptations of the Grimm's Fairy Tales from their childhood. This translation, by Ralph Manheim, is the best available in English. He keeps it true to German culture, and yet bridges the gap to English without losing a beat, or getting lost in the language. Very direct, and true to the original. This should be the primary source of European fairy tales for children. Read the story 'Briar Rose' to get a true taste of the incredible Grimm's. It is miles away from the vulgar, scary version done by Disney as 'Sleeping Beauty.'
