"All I'm saying is that if you took it down a notch or two, you'd make the jumps and save the injuries."
"I always makes the jumps," I argued.
"What are you talking about?"
"I make the jumps. It's the landings that I'm having trouble with."

Grind by Eric Walters was a great book. It is about Phillip Falcone who was a skateboarder and wanted to make a web site and make some money. So they found a kid that was so smart that he had free time in school. So when they asked him if he wanted to make it and he said sure. So he started filming his new and only friends. (He was a huge nerd). When they were skating a professional skater came and skated with them. Then right after he left a security guard came so they started skating away then another car came that almost hit him and he jumped up and his skateboard went under the car and he ran over it and the nerd got it all on tape so it was on the website and they got so many hits and sponsors that they started making money off the web site. Then a little later one of the other kids fell and got hurt so he was in the hospital and they were still getting paid. I give this book five out of five stars it is an awesome book! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

In the book 'Grind' it's all about skateboarding. Three skateboarders set off to make money off a website: Phil, Wal, and Lisa. Lisa is Phil's ex-girlfriend. And since Phil is the one starting the website he picked her to be in it so he would have a chance going back out with her. Also, there is Nevin who is the computer geek and making the website and adding Phil's, Wal's, and Lisa's video parts and photos. These four kids do whatever they can to make money off of what they love, skateboarding. This book has a lot of chapters ending out of know where and leaving you questioning. The book is really short. I recommend this book to anyone who likes skating and teenagers. I liked this book a lot because it has a lot of excitement and skateboarding, and it is funny in someways, but there are some parts that confuse me. When I saw it in the libary I didn't think it would be good but it was. I finished it in about 5 days. If you like skating and you like short books then 'Grind' is what you should read. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Grind is a book about a bunch of skateboarders who set out to make money off a website that they create. Overall, it was a good. It had good flow and transitions to different scenes are easy to follow. The only thing about the book that was annoying was the ended. It ended very abruptly and left me guessing too much. It ended like there is going to be a sequel, but none has come out yet. Overall I give a 8 out of ten. Good for ages 12-18.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
