Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
Most wedding etiquette books available today offer advice to the bride on how to plan the marriage ceremony. This guide is designed to help the groom handle the ring selection, invitations, rehearsal dinner, honeymoon vacation, bachelor party, and many legal aspects of marriage. Freelance writer Perry includes many of the typical charts found in other wedding handbooks: honeymoon budget, six-month countdown schedule, selection of a place to live, etc. Written in a colloquial style with plenty of anecdotes and analogies, this consumer guide is more likely to be read by the groom as he tries to organize his half of the celebration. An optional purchase for public library collections.

It's a pretty good read overall. I liked the section dealing with thoughts of the future. However, the section on dancing is wrong, and dangerously so. The general discussion of dancing is o.k., but the numbered tips are completely wrong. I strongly suggest that the author actually do some research for this part. The very first tip tells the man to start with his right foot. Don't do this unless you like kicking people. The man always starts with his left, the woman with her right (the woman is always right :) ). The other tips will also cause more harm than good.
