Groovy Stand in Storm HD

Slim, smart, and lightweight, this ingenious cover is the perfect choice for protecting your NOOK HD+. The polyurethane exterior, accented by a subtle "nook" logo, is both strong and smooth to the touch; inside, a plastic shell cradles your device while offering full access to the controls. But that's only part of the story. An articulation on the front cover allows you to fold it back and tuck the edge into the metallic clip on the back of the case. The result is a sturdy stand that gives you the option of using your NOOK hands-free in landscape orientation, in either video-viewing mode or typing mode. (The viewing mode offers a more vertical angle.) Proving that this is a smart cover in every sense, it also puts your NOOK HD+ into sleep mode when you close the front flap and wakes it up when the flap is opened. A laser-etched "nook" logo on the back-cover clip adds to the visual appeal of this superior product.

 • Dimensions: 6.5" x 9.75" x .50"
 • Polyurethane cover, plastic interior shell
 • Adapts for use as a stand
 • Sleep/wake function
 • Suitable for NOOK HD+ only

"Good" is a fair rating. The crease that allows it to fold as a stand makes it difficult for it to be folded back nicely for reading. I will probably return it and try a diferent one.

It is just like Apple's Smart Cover for iPad, it is the perfect case for your nook hd! Buy it now!!!!!!

It protects my nook when I am not using it but I find myself taking the nook out of the cover every time I sit down to read. The "binder" which forms the spine of the cover is more or less a cloth strap that is very flexible and causes the cover to slip and move when folded back on itself. Would LOVE this cover if somehow the spine was rigid.

I keep my HD in a larger Vera Bradley case and I jus tlike having this stand for extra protection. I haven't had any problems with the front not folding bending back. This case makes a great stand for watching movies or reading. It was really a great buy!

Poor viewing angles -- too upright and too flat. Nice feel to the case, though.

Works ok as a stand but mine won't stay closed. Very disappointed.

I like the fact that it's thin, but I have two main problems with it. -- It doesn't fold flat when opened, making it hard to hold stably. -- It doesn't snap close. My main reason for using a case is to make sure the cover is covered if it falls. That being said, if you can live with the above, don't buy it here. I had picked it up on eBay for $5. (same new in box OEM product)

Just bought and am very pleased. Super easy to fold back, awesome feel to it, and provides protection! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a case!

The Groovy Stand makes it easy to watch movies on my HD and by turning the HD around, the stand places the HD at the perfect angle for typing emails. The back is covered with a plastic shell that provides protection. The front cover turns off the screen to save the battery. If I am streaming music to my Bluetooth speaker, closing the cover turns off the screen but the music continues to play. Streaming music with the screen off uses only 50% of a battery charge with ten hours of music. The cover is very light and is comfortable in your hand while reading. It is not as nice looking as the leather(ish) covers.

I really like the Nook, but , I hav'nt owned one yet that I hav'nt returned for the same problem with the charging system... Your rating is dropping and I'm gonna start looking for something else when the charging system Fails again..
