Overview

Into any girl's life a star could fall, but there's a thin line between love and obsession.

Andy Foster never expected lightning to strike when she met the enigmatic frontman of an up-and-coming rock band, but Giovanni Carnevale left her thunderstruck. At first it is easy to use her freelance writing career as an excuse to indulge the steamy flirtation from city to city. As she gets ever closer to making her lascivious fantasies a reality, however, she finds herself entangled in the fake and sometimes dangerous world of celebrity where nothing is as it seems, including the celebrities themselves.

She hangs on to find something real amidst the illusion, while Giovanni balances what he wants against what he fears most. Over three years they come together and blow apart with the same kind of combustible passion. This keeps them orbiting in the others' stratosphere despite new relationships and bitter betrayals. They are bound together by something they can't fight, something that draws the ire of another fan determined to claim Vanni all to herself.

Unknowingly they all race toward a dramatic moment of truth that will leave two people injured, and one dead, with a twist of an ending you may never see coming.

Author of LOVE PLUS ONE and MY IMMORTAL, Ginger Voight once again brings Rubenesque romance to life through a curvy heroine and the sexy rock god who wants her. It is the ultimate fantasy for anyone who has ever indulged a celebrity crush, and wondered "what if" you ever got that one chance to be with your idol. More than a romance, GROUPIE is a sizzling contemporary read that throws back the curtain on the lives of celebrities and the fans who love them.

    Rollercoaster

Andy and Vanni's relationship is a rollercoaster. Vanni can be a real jerk, but just as you lose faith in him he surprises you. Good read and entertaining.

This book is amazing! This is one of the best trilogies I have ever read. This is the first book in the Groupie Trilogy. I was hooked from just the first few pages. My heart was in my throat but it's worth the ride. This is a love story about Andy & Vanni. Andy is a freelance travel writer and tags along with a friend who represents a band called Dreaming In Blue. After a concert she meets the lead singer Vanni. They are very flirtatious and have a great time together. They both want to be together but his rising celebrity puts a stop to that. Over a period of time, they keep in touch & eventually begin to have a secret affair & begin to fall in love. Since they don't get to see each other often, both treasure the time that they do have together. Since no one knows about their relationship, they both have to "put up" with things that may not be as they appear. Andy meets and becomes friends with Graham who is a record executive. She is aware that he is interested in being more than friends with her, but she explains that she doesn't feel the same way. He does help Vanni and the band when needed and brings the groups celebrity to all new heights. After a tragic turn of events, Andi feels like it is her duty to care for an ailing Graham. Vanni doesn't understand her need to care for him but she owes Graham her life & will not leave him. No matter how long they are apart or other people that may come in & out of their lives, Andy cannot deny that she is still in love with Vanni. But is love enough? This is a wonderful love story with plenty of ups & downs. I love this story because of the strong female character and I also love that this story takes place over several years and isn't rushed like a lot of books are these days. The books in this series only get better and I cannot wait to see what Ginger Voight has in store for us with her coming novels.
    - I may not have been able to avoid falling in love with Giovanni Carnevale. The mistake was when I thought I could ever claim him as mine.

Oh Freaking Wow! This was definitely one roller coaster ride of emotions, jealousy, betrayal, sex, and a whole lot more. I really enjoyed reading from Andy's POV. It would have been nice to read from Vanni's too, because just geez when I was reading certain scenes, I just wanted to know what was in his head, seriously! He and Andy have a secretive relationship, and I think in some ways, it was believable, that they were really into one another, and he is also taking the role as a Rock Star, and, well to him, part of that means, is to do groupies. I guess, and I think this is specified in the story, that Andy was  Groupie, but she does become something more to Vanni, but...oh yes there's big big but. There's something that happens that's just so unexpected, and it's definitely chilling, but gosh Vanni and Andy just frustrated me, and when you read, you'll know what I'm talking about. Even though there's a serious and threatening situation that comes from an obsessed fan, of whom I think was written all right, those two lovers just blow me away with the decision that they make, and yup there's a bit of a cliffhanger, but some direction on where book 2 might take.
My Rating: 4/5I say R-Rated! 17+ (Some Strong Language & Sexual Content)
