Overview

Growing your own pot doesn't have to be just another labor in your already too-busy life.  It should be an enjoyable and satisfying experience watching living sprouts erupt from seeds that you've selected and sown yourself, nurturing vulnerable seedlings until they become stout and strong, and enjoying the fruits on your own handiwork.

Growing Marijuana provides instruction on growing a personal-use crop that will provide a least one ounce of cleaned, seedless, and stem-free buds for each month of the year (from harvest to harvest)  but doesn't have to require a lot of dedication or expense.  (There will be some sweat involved, though, never doubt that.)

With step-by-step instructions, Tommy McCarthy shows readers how to cultivate and raise beautiful weed.  He also provides information on how to harvest and prepare the final product.

Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
There is an inherent challenge in reviewing a book about growing a mildly hallucinogenic herb that is illegal to consume or sell! However, as the pseudonymous author notes, it is not illegal to sell marijuana seeds, and penalties imposed upon noncommercial growers can be light. The text is aimed at the "small grower" who plans to cultivate the herb either inside or outside. The book is visually attractive, with heavy-gloss pages and a wealth of color photographs. It is organized into four sections and 14 chapters, concluding with recipes. Each chapter begins with focus points in bulleted sidebars. Written in a conversational tone, the book goes into great detail about all aspects of growing and caring for marijuana plants, deftly embedding the more scientific points. The guide would be more useful if it had an index; however, the detailed photographs assist the reader in flipping through to particular topics. VERDICT Useful for interested adult readers.—Sara R. Tompson, Univ. of Southern California, Los Angeles

    Ill teach you little tokers

Step 1: germinate the seed by placing in a soaked paper towel for three days
Step 2: a little root will emmerge from the seed, when it does, put seed directly in controled environment (70-80 degrees, humid, a fan is optional, flourescent light optional as well)
Step 3: water, watch and wait. When plant sprouts, increase watering and keep area free of contaminates (perfume, bug spray, etc). If bugs appear, simply spray plant with CO2 infused water.
Step 4: bud will appear after a few weeks, when it reaches sufficent producion, cut the stem half way and hang the plant for drying.
Step 5: once bud is dry to touch, pluck the bud, spark it up, and feel success

Tips: male seeds dont produce bud. You can tell the gender of the seed, darker green=female, lighter green/sandy brown=male

Dont cut plant until about 5 grams (handful size) or more has grown, just be patient

It will REEK! Only grow in a vacant area for your well being

Most peoples plants die on the first trys, dont take it personaly just try again

Dont smoke, eat or chew the stem or leaf, i dont care what others do...bad idea

    Dont get caught ;)

    Does not work

This book does not give you the full version when purchased. Unless someone knows why it would only give you the sample i would not recommend buying this.
