Read an Excerpt

Weather Man Without fail, he rises, pants and shirts himself, then - flashlight on - he treks across barn yard to grove's edge where it stands: Tacked to deep-grained fence post years ago, it keeps its vigil -- marking falling temperatures with mercury precision.Force of habit, now, in winter, after burn piles of freezes past, farmer turns collar up, squints into the unpredictable bitter blow, knowing curled color of wind-chill damaged leaves, wide-split bark of extended cold.He keeps his ritual well-rehearsed, like planting on good signs or prayer before harvest, recording, during city's sleep, unexpected drops in red.

Poetry that makes you feel what the author felt

This poet has a true grasp of his craft, and his style has a feel to it that makes the reader see the flaorida he has experienced and to feel what he has felt. Reading all of his poems gives the reader a glimps of the poets heart and love for his native Florida.

    Frost-like imagery, exquisite wordplay

As a reader of up-and-coming poets, I haven't read someone with this much promise since Rodney Jones. The mixture of Floridian imagery with diverse psychological landscapes gives the audience a true, often gritty sense of the author's own voice and tone. Excellent, excellent work.
