Tomatoes are one of my favorite things to eat. I love a nice juicy tomato that is plucked out of the garden so I got this book to teach me how to have my plants produce more tomatoes per plant. Normally half way through the season, I run out. I wanted to find something that could help in making it more productive.
As I was reading this book, it made a lot of sense on many topics. One thing that seemed to stand out to me is the section on soil composition. I knew that the soil composition could kill the plant if it is not good. I did not know that it can cause other plants to live, but it will make them lower yielding. I think that this might have been the problem that I was going through with my own. So, I am going to try this book's advice, and I honestly think that this does have the potential of giving me a much more successful tomato season this long. This means more chances for my husband, daughter, and myself to enjoy one of our favorite foods.

With budgets getting tighter, more families are turning to simple methods to save money. One of the best ones is to grow your own vegetables. Tomatoes go fast in my home. From salads, to sandwiches, to build your own taco night, the cost of buying tomatoes is a high one. I found this book highly interesting. One I never realized how much preparation goes into just getting the soil ready for planting. While I grew up on a farm, I tend to have a black thumb when it comes to anything growing. The instructions in this book though are through yet easy to follow and give you great advice on how to get your own tasty tomato garden started. the author includes helpful information on picking the right seeds and proper staking techniques. I can’t wait to get started on planting my own!

Having avoided trying to grow my own plants for years because of the believed difficulty I picked up this book ready to give it a go. This book explains in detail how to not only get started from either seeds or seedlings but also how to maintain your tomato plants through various planters, pots and pesticides. Everything you need to know is presented in this compact but incredibly instructive book. In addition to explaining the growing process this book also delves into the harvesting and potential pests and problems you could encounter and how best to deal with them. All in all a good resource for tomato growing.
