John Lee explains life, and how I live it in a simple text that allows me to recognize not just when I am regressing, but where I have regressed to, and how to bring myself out and up to who I am today. When I 'grow myself back up', I can communicate more effectively, and accept I do not have to feel ashamed of my process. John Lee's workshops are the most engaging, and REAL I have ever had the pleasure to participate in.
If you have any contact with others on a professional basis, this is THE book to keep you sane! This book will help you in every relationship - personal or professional - as it contains clear & and easy-to-follow steps to keep you focused on the issue at hand. Each of us have learned methods of coping, communicating & processing whaat we "thought" we heard the other person say. We learned these methods as children. However, these methods actually sabotage our ability to communicate as adults. Not surprisingly, many, if not most, of our communications, conversations and/or interactions with others are stressful, intense, heated, confrontational, emtionally-laden, and involve opposing opnions or conflicting positions. Without a conscious effort to remain "focused" on the issue at hand, we automatically resort to our childhood methods of coomunicating - which does not serve us well as adults. This book has all the tools, tips, scripts, and detailed instructions you need to "grow yourself back up." If you are willing to change, and make the effort, this book can transform you into the highly-successful, productive, effective, drama-free adult of your dreams. This is a book outside the box information. Once you start reading it, you cannot put it down. I've learned so much about myself thru this book. I highly recommend it.
John Lee's book has changed my life and perhaps saved my marriage. I am recommending this book to all my grown children and my friends. This book helps one to understand why he/she has "flashbacks" and projects on the people around him/her things that happened in childhood... how these distant "neural memories" affect us today. An absolute "must read" for everyone!
