Overview

Seventeen year old Lacey Hannigan knows that she's different from other people. Her ability to move things with her mind has made her an outcast, even in her own home. She hates the power that she has and wants nothing more than to be normal like everyone else. But when she is forced to run away from home or be sent to a hospital to be studied like some kind of science project, she has no choice but to rely on her telekinesis in order to survive on her own. She soon finds herself in more danger than she ever thought possible when she discovers that there are even stranger people than her in the world. Like Cole, a man with a deadly secret who has vowed to stop at nothing until he has her. And Jesse, who seems like the perfect man until she learns that he may not be who she thinks he is.

The unbelievable becomes reality when seemingly normal people shed their human skin for that of fur and prowl the streets at night looking for their next victim. Will Lacey's power be her saving grace or her doom?

I was very happy with this series. I read all three books in the series. They were heartfelt and emotional. There were happy moments along with very sad moments. This series was well written. The first book had over  500 pages. The second and third had less than 200 pages. If you write a review it would be nice for people to put the amount of pages for each book. And to pay 3.99 for books with less than 200 pages.

Too Twilighty, too many " I will kill you"s, too much insanity. Only part that I liked was that she tried to defend herself, unlike others(cough Bella cough).

This story itself was ok. My biggest complaint was the style. I am a technical reader. If a writer's style bothers me somehow, then I tend to be unable to appreciate the story. There was an awful lot of yelling, single tear drops and characters in a state of disbelief in this story...to the point of excess in my opinion. In my case I found it distracting. But, the story itself was entertaining. I really liked Lacey, Jesse, and even, to some extent Cole. I liked that the author showed both sides of the werewolf, good and evil. The story and character development was pretty good and there was plenty of action. I'd like to see Cole's character a little stronger in regard to Lacey, though I understand what the author was trying to achieve. However the dicotomy was a hair too sharp, in my opinion. In short, a good story, worth reading.

The story is interesting, but there are definitely major flaws with this book. Everyone is constantly on the verge of crying. A tear threatening to fall, wiping tears from people's cheeks and the like are literally the majority of the book. I'm sure I sprained my eye rolling muscles. The book also states that Lacey doesn't cry much but she is crying in EVERY SINGLE SCENE. There are also typos everywhere. The book is very intriguing, but could have been written much better.

I very much enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the next in the series. The author has stated on another site that the other two books in the series will be available for the nook in a few weeks. I cant wait to read them. This book left me screaming when I found out I couldn't get book two yet but I can wait another few weeks I guess. If book two is anything like Growl it will be worth the wait.

I think this book was really good. It kept me guessing and wondering what is going to happen next.  I can't wait to read the next in the series but it isn't out yet. :(  Awesome work.

If I could give zero stars I would. The diolouge was stilted and stiffly formal in casual and panicked situations, pretty much all the characters directly conflicted through their actions with how they verbally identified themselves ( case in point, the main character Lacey. Who verbally identifies as never crying as she cries through every scene. And verbally identifies as never using her powers in front of others and only losing control once when her step father made her very angry saying she was not easily riled up and yet she seems to explode and publicly use her powers at the drop of a pin.), the whole story setup is a far cry past the suspension of disbelief (not disbelieve as the author kept trying to spell it as in her book) starting with her parents being completely fine and not really all that weirded out by their daughters potentially life threatening powers, appearing merely mildly annoyed at the very beginning of the book when she almost killed someone, continuing on into the authors apparent belief that psychiatric hospital is merely another word for torture and experimentation society, as this is no secret underground place, but a normal publicly operated and known place with the assumption that all hospitals are the same madhouse as this one. All in all this felt like something a highschooler would post to fictionpress. Its got an intrigueing idea but it has been very badly carried out. This is not a book, it is a first draft that should have been looked over and edited far more before being published. The typoes alone show how little care was taken to this book and the sequels are less than half this books length and not worth any amount of money.

If you like a love story with a twist, this is a book for you. I liked the main character in this book. She is not overly pushy and thinks she can do everything by herself like so many heroines. But she does make mistakes. It is a good read.

I found the book to be quite entertaining as was the other 2 books afterward. A definite good read for paranormal romance and not oversexed for young readers.
