Meet the Author

Dana Marton writes fast-paced action-adventure romances that take her readers all over the globe. She is a Rita Award finalist and the winner of the Daphne du Maurier Award of Excellence. She loves writing stories of intrigue, filled with dangerous plots that try her tough-as-nails heroes and the special women they fall in love with. Her books have been published in seven languages in eleven countries around the world.

She would love to hear from her readers.

Okay, the above version is the glamour version for press releases. The truth is that my path to publication was nothing but unglamorous. I wrote for 13 years and completed 4 books (as well as having others in various stages of completion) before I finally received a call from a Harlequin editor. I was beginning to wonder if I was being tenacious or just too dense to know when to quit. But it all worked out at the end! J I love, love, love writing and would spend all day in front of the computer if I could just break my family of the habit of wanting to eat and wear clean clothes. What’s up with that? But I must get up from the desk now and then, if only because my Internet connection goes down or my ancient PC overheats. Then I do enjoy cooking, knitting, hunting for treasures at the flea market, our Beagle, Peanut the Destroyer, and gardening.

I’d love it if you picked up one of my books and emailed me to tell me what you thought of it. I’ve been known to name characters after readers. Just ask Princess Judi.

    A Fun, romantic, action-packed Novella

In Guardian Angel, Jasmine is on the run with her little sister Mandy and their big brother Jake, an AWOL Special Ops soldier who has been framed for murder. Jake's former Army buddy Gabe is on the contract mercenary team assigned to find him. But Gabe is getting suspicious of his team leader's motives, and when Jasmine finds Gabe and asks for his help, his instinctive response is to help her. He remembers her as a teenager, but she has grown into a beautiful and brave woman desperate to save her siblings. Gabe's protective instincts and attraction to Jasmine kick into overdrive, at the same time the secret plot is unraveling. In just 60 short pages I knew about Gabe's and Jasmine's families, their backgrounds, and had a real sense of their personalities. I've read full-length novels with less character development. The action is nonstop, the pace relentless, and I could not put this down.

Good short story-give it a try.

I just finished reading this story. It has good action scenes not that it would ever happen to me. I liked the characters. They were believable, I've known some people who would act like this. The story was believable and that was scary. If I say more that would spoil the story. Now that I have your attention, you will just have to buy this book and read it. Beware, the ending will have you wanting more. Please try this book.

    Rip Off!

I've read most of Dana's books, but this is only a short story. Only 42 pages! Really? For the price of a book?? The story is OK, but very shallow...of course what can you do in 42 pages?

Adventure, intrigue and Agents Under Fire

Dana Marton gives us new, fast-paced, romance series. The first in her Agents Under Fire novella, Guardian Agent, sets the story and the pace for the trilogy. In this stand-alone novella, we are introduced to Gabe, the man of a girl¿s fantasy and Jake, the solder on the run and Jasmine, a strong, sexy woman. Go along on their journey of adventure, danger and intrigue for a story that draws you in from the start.

A lot is packed into a short novella, but it is worth the read. Yes, I would like to have it longer with the characters a bit more fleshed out, but it was a novella, not a novel. It did leave me looking forward to the next installment in the series and I have to recommend it for a good fast-paced, adventure romance.

This is my first book by Dana Marton and you can be sure it won't be my last.

I was caught in the fast moving story of this novella. Gabe, who is ex Military and ex FBI, is now working for a private securities firm
and they are on a mission in Venice to capture a soldier who went AWOL. Coincidentally, the rogue soldier Jake, happened to be
    an old Army friend.

On one of their stakeouts, Gabe thought they were closing in on Jake only to realize the person was his sister, Jasmine. But before
he could get his questions answered, Jasmine escaped. Gabe and Jasmine go way back to 10 years ago when Jasmine was just a
teenager and she had a huge crush on Gabe. With Mandy being very sick and Jake badly injured, Jasmine had no choice but to trust
her instincts and turn to Gabe for help. With the little info given by Jasmine, Gabe did some digging and became suspicious of the
    entire operation.

The plot was well written and I didn't feel that Dana was rushing to end the story. That being said, of course I would have been happier
if it had more details and development and for the story to be full-length instead. Nevertheless, the plot and plenty of fast paced actions
will keep you enthralled. I can't wait to get started on the next book, Avenging Agent.

I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

My first, but not my last

Strong characters, and an excellent start to a series. I hope there are full-length novels to come in this series.

    Good quick read

Loved Gabe and Jasmines story but sure could have used a few more chapters just about their budding relationship. Full of suspense and memories of an old crush.
