Overview

Amelia E. Pohl uses a short story format to describe the legal procedure in setting up and maintaining a Guardianship for the:
* The SENIOR too ill to care for himself
* The MINOR whose parents are
deceased or incapacitated
* The MENTALLY ILL
* The DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED ADULT
* The comatose ACCIDENT VICTIM

The first part of Guardian Angel Guardian Devil explains the importance of avoiding Guardianship. (in some states it’s called Conservatorship). The second part of the book shows how easily guardianship can be avoided.

Everyone knows that Probate is a good thing to avoid because of the inconvenience and high legal cost. The purpose of Guardian Angel Guardian Devil is let the reader know that Guardianship is even more expensive than Probate. There’s an end in sight for Probate. Once the property is distributed to the beneficiaries it’s over. Not so with Guardianship. It goes on and on until the incapacitated person dies or the judge dismisses the guardian. The good news is that Guardianship is easier to avoid than Probate. This book explains how totake steps to avoid guardianship WITHOUT PAYING EXPENSIVE LEGAL FEES.

This is an important book to read because: Guardianship can happen to anyone.
