I was given this book in return for an honest review. This story

I was given this book in return for an honest review. This story starts 5 years before the Salem witch trials and ends in the early 21st century. Hannah is The Guardian, she's responsible for keeping all the supernatural beings in order. She is also a healer, a witch, and an immortal(she can be killed like any other human though she just doesn't die a natural death). Hannah and Gabriel are best friends and a little something more, she thinks he is long dead, but still thinks of him everyday. Bernard, is a Warlock, who has always loved Hannah's mother and who is always there for Hannah. Hannah makes decisions through the years that have consequences. Revenge, burnout, sorrow, all have played a part in her decisions. She has to find a way to come back and right the problems that her decisions have caused. While doing so she is going to come against some nasty creatures as well as finding some old friends, and some long buried secrets. This book has Nephilym, vampires, werewolves, mermaids, fairies, witches, and a great story, that keeps you pinned to the book. Wonderful!!

I was given this book from the author to give an honest review.

I was given this book from the author to give an honest review.

Gillian Joy has amazing talent. I got into this book from the first page. This is not your typical paranormal book that deals with witches, warlocks, vampires, werewolves, fairies, and nephilim. This concept is one I have never read before and I am glad I was given the chance to read this book.

Guardian is filled with love, action, some suspense. I found myself going "oh my so didn't see that part coming."

Guardian is about a girl name Hannah it starts off around the year 1675, and gives you a little bit of background for the story. Hannah has a secret that she wants to tell her best friend Gabriel. Hannah would be following in her mother's footsteps of being a protector and keeper of all supernatural beings also known as Crudelitas. Then something tragic happens to Hannah, and she makes it her mission in life to hunt down the supernatural being that caused her pain. I am not going to go into in more details because then I would feel as though I am giving away so much of the book.

Give this book a read because you will not be disappointed, I would honestly give this book more than 5 stars if I could because Guardian deserves it. Can not wait to start book two in this series.

I loved this book from start to finish. I rarely give out a 5 star review on books. Usually 4 stars for books that I really enjoyed, but this one had me captivated from the beginning! This book is an easy read that can be read in a day. You find all your supernatural characters. Hannah, the main character, is the Guardian to all the supernatural.

The story starts with Hannah as a young girl, while her mother is still the Guardian. She then has to feel the excruciating pain of her mothers death. This leads to her taking her mother's place as Guardian. In doing that she has to leave her childhood best friend. This spands a few hundred years. I am looking forward to book 2!

I have to admit that I couldn’t wait to start reading this

I have to admit that I couldn’t wait to start reading this book, as the cover completely stole my heart. The blurb held a lot of promise and I excitedly jumped right in and got to reading “Guardian”, the first opportunity I got. I felt slightly disappointed at the end, because the book didn’t meet my expectations.

I found the first half of the book to move at an excruciatingly slow pace, but once past Chapter thirteen, it picked up considerably and so much happens that it makes your head spin. I wasn’t too fond of Hannah though, as I’m not a big fan of characters who often have temper tantrums to get their point across. Similarly, I also wasn’t very impressed with Gabriel and Jesse’s characters either, as weak male characters aren’t to my liking. But that is just my personal taste.

Another let down for me was the bad editing, and I feel a really terrific editor would make a world of difference to this book. Overall – and bad editing aside – this is a well-written book with a really great storyline that intrigues the imagination from start to finish. The reader is taken on a journey into a world that spans over three hundred years, and gets to meet a plethora of supernatural beings and other wonderful and loveable secondary characters you can’t help rooting for.

Even though “Guardian” wasn’t much to my liking mainly due to the distracting grammar errors - and therefore the three stars; it is still a pleasant read that can be enjoyed by many fans of the YA paranormal genre.

The cover for this book is what first caught my eye, beautiful!

The cover for this book is what first caught my eye, beautiful! This is the first book I have read by the author and she is now on my "must get a hold of her books" list. This book has a little bit of everything, vampires, werewolves, and witches, to name a few. It is refreshingly different from other books in it's genre that are out right now. I fell in love with Hannah right from the beginning. She is strong willed, independent, and can be a handful from time to time. The book revolves around Hannah and her journey of her "chosen" life. The ups, the downs, and everything in between. I felt every emotion each character did and have a special feeling for each of them. I could go on and on about Gillian's creativeness in this book, but find it hard to do so without spoiling for everyone. I loved this book and can't wait to get my hands on "Forever". I highly recommend this book to all paranormal addicts. The only thing you will regret is that you run out of pages.

Hannah inherits the role of Guardian from her mother when she is

Hannah inherits the role of Guardian from her mother when she is burned as a witch in Salem in the 1600’s. The Guardian keeps the Crudelitas, those supernatural beings in the human world like vampires, werewolves, witches, warlocks, and the like, from harming the humans or each other. Wielding great power, she is able to kill with energy alone, talk from great distances into someone’s head, and project herself into a familiar place from a distance.

But she can also give her heart to someone, experience loss by death, and frustration. She has those who love her enough to follow her, wait for her, and to die for her. She fights her feelings for two of the Crudelitas, believing she should never be with them in love. Will she ever find someone that will fulfill that spot for her?

Meantime, the one who ordered her mother’s death is still alive after 300 years, there is chaos brewing in the Crudelitas society, and someone is looking for her to kill her. She doesn’t have long to find who is behind all of the trouble before she believes she will die and the next Guardian will take over.

I really loved this book. Gillian Joy has given The Guardian a lot of plot twists and turns, several changes to the story and it kept me guessing how she was going to end it. She really packed in the surprises, I would think I had her story figured out and then “Surprise!” she would have Hannah or one of the other characters do something that would completely change what I thought would happen. While Hannah has a love life, it wasn’t graphic so the book is suitable for teens as well as adults who want a great story. And the next in the series, Forever, is out so you have the chance to keep going on Hannah’s adventure.

From the very start of this book things were happening and there

From the very start of this book things were happening and there was never a dull moment for me, I fell in love with Hanna and Gabe. I would defiantly recommend this book to my readers out there. Guardian has vampires, witches, werewolves and more!! Gillian really made her character’s come to life in this book!

After Hanna was forced experience her mother’s death because of the supernatural connection they had, Hanna had to leave the place she grew up and her father. Centuries Later Hanna finds her long lost friend Gabriel (whom she loves), and Jesse (a vampire) who would give anything to be with her. As Guardian she is forbidden to fall in love with any of the supernatural. Her life in chaos over her relationships and she can’t find her mother’s killer, Hanna decides it is all way too much to handle and she starts over. Will she ever find a way to be with her love Gabriel and find the person reasonable for her mother’s death all while doing her job as Guardian?

I must admit I had a hard time putting this book down. Gillian J

I must admit I had a hard time putting this book down. Gillian Joy did a fantastic job weaving actual events into this fictional story.

We are first introduced to Hannah and her mother, who have an intriguing (and at times heart-wrenching) relationship. The death of her mother threw her through a loop just as she was learning how to be the guardian of the supernatural world.

While she lost her way for a while, she spent a long time getting her life back on track. I don’t want to ruin too much if the story, but finding out that some people from her old life survived really made my day!

The different species of supernatural beings also caught (and kept) my attention. This story has witches, werewolves, vampires, nephilim, fairies, angels, and more! Some of my favorite things!

I have to say, the wait for the next book is going to be a very long one, and I’ll be picking this book up again for several rereads in the future! It has everything! Fantastic characters, intriguing storyline, awkward love triangles, heartwarming relationships of all kinds, and several questions I will have a hard time waiting for the next book to have answered!

I absolutely loved Guardian! Gillian Joy has a wonderful way wit

I absolutely loved Guardian! Gillian Joy has a wonderful way with words. I definitely recommend this book to others! It's a story that grabs you from the beginning and doesn't let you go!

Guardian is a story about Hannah who is the guardian over all your paranormal creatures, vampires, werewolves, witches, nephilum, you name it Guardian has it. After her mother's death she set out on a search for the vampire responsible for having her mother killed. Along the way she gained the reputation of being a vampire hater/killer, something that changed after she is reunited with her childhood best friend. Together they set out to draw her mother's murderer out.

I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series! Definitely one of the best I have read this year.

I just finished this book, I couldn't put it down! The story grabbed my attention from the start. I felt so close to the characters that I was sad when I got to the last page. I couldn't help but cry when Hannah cried. I could feel all the wonderful emotions along with her. This really was a wonderful book. I can't wait to read the next one!

The second I saw this cover I just KNEW that I had to read this series. Boy was that a great decision! The author has so skillfully developed these characters that you are just crazy if you don't fall in love with at least one of them! My favorite by far is Hannah. She is so feisty that you want to keep reading the book just to see what she comes up with next! I really hope that things develop more between her and one of the other characters :) Overall this book was great because you had all of the normal supernaturals roaming around, but didn't have the predictable Were/Vamp fighting throughout the entire book like most series. I would recommend this book to pretty much anyone. There is fun filled craziness for the action lovers and a somewhat love filled story for the romance lovers :)

    GREAT READ!!!! Highly recommend!!!!

The story is about Hannah (a guardian), her childhood friend Gabriel (whom she loves), and Jesse,(a vampire) who would give anything to be with her. But as the guardian Hannah is forbidden to fall in love with the supernatural. With her life in chaos over her relationships and emotions with Gabriel and Jesse and not being able to exact revenge for her mother’s death, Hannah leaves everything behind to start over.

I loved this book! loved the characters especially Gabriel!! ***sigh*** <3 Gillian did a great job creating a world where you (the reader) get sucked in and read till the book ends and realize the whole day has gone by without you noticing!!! :-)

Highly Recommended - you must check it out!!

Guardian is a wonderfully written book by the amazing author Gillian Joy. From the moment I opened my nook to read this book I was in love. Well written and very captivating through the entire book. The story of Hannah and the choices she will face will have you wondering where this story will go next. I'm so looking forward to the next installment of her book called Forever. If you love to read this book is a sure winner.
