    It Gets You Thinking

Society today is shaped and dominated by the media, whether you like it or not, and this book by Michael Levine gets you thinking about that. The media is a business and Levine explores the positives and negatives of it being a business. Levine's anecdotes make the book enjoyable and keep you reading to the end. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking to expand their knowledge of how to utilize the media to make your PR campaign work.

Guerrilla PR: Realistic help for would-be campaigners

Levine¿s thesis in Guerrilla P.R. is that even the individual untrained in the mechanics of publicity can conduct an effective, low-cost campaign. Guerrilla P.R. is a highly informative, extremely readable, down-to-earth, inspiring ¿jungle map¿ for implementing a campaign. It is logically organized, example-laden, and highly recommended for budget-restricted individuals seeking to run exciting, mass appeal, media campaigns with integrity. Guerrilla P.R. uses the metaphor of the jungle-fighter to help the grassroots campaigner understand the process and requirements for a powerful, low-cost crusade. The jungle-fighter understands the sneak attack (taking advantage of a P.R. opportunity through the use of a unique idea), knows the environment (developing a polished and extensive media list), is passionate about the cause (demonstrating a deep commitment to the idea, product, or service through a powerful pitch), and is almost impossible to conquer (utilizing proven P.R. strategies to reach one¿s goals).

    Very Informative!

Michael Levine in his typical eloquent style writes an incredible book that flows well and is easy to read. With his wisdom and experience he and Guerrilla P.R. are here to help anyone who owns a business, either big or small, become creative and marketable by means of learning the basics to public relations. I highly recommend this book to anyone even thinking of opening their own business. This is one book that should be your companion throughout your business career.
