Meet the Author

Samuel J. Daniel, MD, FACP, FACG, is the president and CEO of North General Hospital-Harlem. He was recognized as one of New York's Best Physicians by "New York" magazine in 2000. He lives in Armonk, New York. Temima Markovits, RPA-C, has spent the past five years caring for Hepatitis C patients at North General Hospital-Harlem. She lives in New York City. Vernon A. Williams is an editor for the "Gary Info" newspaper, the publisher of "Rapport" magazine, and the coauthor of "That Black Men Might Live: My Fight Against Prostate Cancer," He lives in Indianapolis. Santiago Munoz, MD, is the medical director of the liver transplant program, head of the Division of Hepatology, and Director of the Center for Liver Disease at Albert Einstein Medical Center. He is an associate professor of Medicine at Jefferson Medical College and has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles in scientific medical journals. He lives in Pennsylvania.
