Q. David Bowers and Whitman Numismatic Publishing has produced an excellent resource to Morgan silver dollars, how to determine their numismatic value based on their relative date, mintmark and condition grade. Mr. Bowers also provides excellent, interesting and yes, even exciting insight into their history as coinage of the United States as well as into the history of the United States Mint and silver mining and western history as it relates to those topics. I highly recommend this book not just for Morgan silver dollars collectors but to those interested in a general history of silver and the old west.

I purchased a magazine called 'Gold Coins +' at the Eden Prairie store. After I started reading it I couldn't help notice how outdated it was. I took a close look at the cover and in very very small print it read 'Display until November 1,2009'. I purchased it on 1/13/2010. I wasn't about to make a 30 mile round trip visit to return it. Instead I sent an email to them and haven't heard anything. Borders book store is just as close and I will be giving them my business from here on!!!!!!!!!!
