Editorial Reviews

Library Journal - Library Journal
The growing number of business travelers are poorly served by conventional guidebooks. They need to know how, when, and where business is conducted in other cultures, as well as the logistics of travel itself. This work begins with a brief discussion of the prospects of the European Common Market. Then there are chapters on 27 major cities (including Istanbul and Moscow), each a blend of conventional travel information and advice on doing business. There is plenty of directory information, such as phone numbers of trade associations and airlines. Because the coverage is of all Europe, the book is necessarily introductory and thin. The Economist Business Traveller's Guides (the first two, to the Arabian Peninsula and Japan, were reviewed in LJ 9/1/87), now with 11 titles for individual nations and regions, remain the best in this field.-- Harold M. Otness, Southern Oregon State Coll. Lib., Ashland
