It lays a wonderful foundation for understanding crisis, the importance of understanding cultural diversity, and the topics are relevant and current.""I think Kanel's textbook is the most suitable material for an undergraduate crisis intervention course that I have found. The book's depth and scope make it appropriate for training of paraprofessionals outside of the college setting as well."
