Starting with the many blurry photos, this book is a collection of how not to create a useful field guide. After Newcomb published his Wildflower guide umpteen years ago, its incredible that anyone seriously wishing to offer a guide to native plants would base their main key on the highly subjective and botanically superficial characteristic of flower color. There must be something better out there than stumbling through this mess.
