The Guide To Getting It On! has won five awards and has been translated into 12 foreign languages. It has sold hundreds of thousands of copies from the dorms of UC San Diego to the bedrooms of Tripoli. Some people say The Guide is the best how-to book on sex ever writtenwe say it's the most fun to read. It is smart enough to be used in sex education courses, but is also a favorite at stores that sell the kind of sex toys that will land you in the slammer in Mississippi, Alabama and Texas. Schools even use it to train doctors. The Guide covers a full range of topics from romance, necking and losing your virginity, to things we can't even mention here.

As a counseling psychologist and sex educator this book is not only informative but also addresses issues and concerns often ignored by other texts. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is wishing to increase their knowledge about sexuality and sexual exploration.
Well, well, well. Sometimes reviewing is just well, reviewing. And other times it¿s very, very interesting. This is one of those times. No one, I don¿t care how bookish they are, wouldn¿t be somewhat taken aback by the size of the Guide To Getting It On. At 854 pages what¿s interesting about the Guide, is that it can pretty much hold your attention for every one of those pages. What¿s very, very interesting is how much you are gonna learn along the way. In it¿s fifth printing, the Guide is no doubt reaching the pinnacle of books on sex. What will make it stand out at that highest point is the openness of the author and his staff, the comments of those who have taken one of their many surveys, and the contributions of experts in a dizzying array of specialities. And then there¿s the humor. I swear there were times that I was sure my landlord was going to come downstairs and ask what the heck was so funny. Explaining to him that I had just finished a chapter titled, ¿ Up your Bum¿, ¿Snoring & Gas¿ or ¿Gnarly Sex Germs¿ would have only confused him even more. To expand on what¿s beneath the covers of the Guide let¿s just say it isn¿t your average sex ed textbook, but it should be. You probably won¿t find it in your Ob/Gyn¿s, office but you should. And one of the really stellar accomplishments of the Guide, is it¿s handling of sex for those with diabetes, disabilities, or confusion about their and their partner¿s anatomy. If you use the Guide as a learning tool, with recommended breaks for practice sessions, and to pass on all the positive information on sex the Guide offers, it¿s job is accomplished.
This is a great book! I can't remember having such a fulfilling 'release' like have had with my current partner. We read this together and let me tell you just reading it got us hot and I don't know how many times we had to just stop reading and ...well....you know. I have never exploded so hard in my life! Get this book.
