Great tool for beginning & experienced star gazers alike

I received this planisphere as a gift when I was just starring out in astronomy (back in 2003). It was and still is a wonderful resource for learning the night sky. This particular planisphere is larger than most and is very easy to use (especially in the dark). The white background with blue stars and blue/black text provide a great contrast when using the planisphere in the field (i.e. - it's dark out). The planisphere is made out of durable materials after more than 4 years of use out in the field it has held up beautifully. All the print is still in excellent shape and countless nights of dew formation have not hurt the planisphere one bit. The planisphere also has some great additional facts and information printed on the face and the back to assist with finding objects.
