Guillain-Barri'A Syndromeby Allan H. Ropper, Eelco F. M. Wijdicks, Bradley T. Truax, Eelco F. Wijdicks (Joint Author)
The acute inflammatory polyneuropathy Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS) has been recognized under different names for more than 100 years. The widely accepted syndromic eponym has persisted because the illness is easy to identify from clinical features delineated in a seminal report in 1916. The details in this book are based on years of observation and care delivered personally to over more than 250 patients with Guillain-Barre syndrome from 1979 to 1988.
