    Ok

Was going to give it a much higher rating as it was an entertaining book. Reminded me of a Johm Grisham novel, but the ending fell flat. There was no ending, no resolution, no nothing. Very disappointing to have devoted all that time into the story and the characters to be left hanging in limbo like that.

This book was a little long winded

This novel started off with a bang. There was a church explosion in which a twelve year old, African American girl was killed. Her preacher father was injured. The bomb was set for midnight and no one was suppossed to in the church at that time. A white, young man, a loner and out cast, suffering from an abusive childhood was the suspect. An African American lawyer was appointed as his lawyer. Added to the mix was the blackmailing, bio mother of the lawyer's eight year old daughter, and his self absorbed wife. There are some unexpected occurances, but a lot of the story was predictable. It could have used more action and character development. It seemed to lag in a lot of places. But overall it was an entertaining read.

    Worth reading

Good fast paced read. Kept my interest. I especially like the fact that you were not bogged down with a lot of trial details in court. I expected a lot more drama between the characters. Overall, I would be willing to read more from this author.
