Editorial Reviews

From The Critics
Written specifically for expectant and new moms, Sheryl Gurrentz presents a superb and infinitely practical compendium of advice, tips, and techniques to care of the new baby and themselves. Especially recommended for women who seek to combine child care with career employment, Gurrentz demystifies early motherhood by covering a diversity of relevant subjects such as how much the body hurts even weeks after giving birth; what to do when feeling jealous that your partner goes to work while you are preempted by child care responsibilities for a new born; how to get a spouse to act like a parent and not just an assistant helper; how to protect modesty while publicly breast feeding; and what to do when life with a new baby doesn't turn out quite like you thought it would! Highly recommended reading, The Guilt-Free Guide To Your New Life As A Mom is an invaluable preparation while waiting for baby's arrival, and even more welcome when trying to adjust to baby after she or he has arrived to enliven, enhance, bewilder, and change your life!!

Practical Hands-On Tips for New Mothers

Full of practical, hands-on tips for coping with your upcoming arrival, this book is first aid for new moms. Although physical changes are included in 'The Guilt-Free Guide', The author does a wonderful job of taking it to the next level and includes emotional well-being as well. Feel like you're going to be changing diapers each day for the rest of your life? Go ask a mom who has older children to get a different perspective (and a bit of reassurance). Journal your thoughts in a diary, both for yourself and your baby. Too busy to keep a baby book? Organize baby's mementos and milestones in a baby box. From simple time management (reducing your workload, expectations, and pacing yourself) to effective organizing (selecting baby equipment, how to select a babysitter, and traveling with baby), The Guilt-Free Guide to Your New Life as a Mom has the tools you need to build your new life one milestone at a time.

    The Best Book on Motherhood!

While other books are fraught with facts and figures that both astound and confound you, ¿The Guilt-Free Guide to Your New Life as a Mom¿ gives the straight scoop in a down-to-earth, comfortable fashion. It is chocked full of real-life testimonials regarding all of those little things you would never think of, and all of the ¿fun stuff¿ your friends and family would rather forget. Every pedestal and pitfall is discussed in detail. Don¿t get me wrong, the facts are there . . . but they are backed by real-world experience as well as research. This book is a ¿must have¿ for any new mother, as it will address all of your anxieties and fears regarding the multitude of changes associated with motherhood. There is practical advice such as how to survive the sea of baby equipment needs, as well as spiritual guidance on how to maintain loving relationships in the face of new challenges. This is by far the most comprehensive collection of information regarding parenthood on the market. It is practically a bible for a new mom, but would also be helpful to fathers and other family members taking part in the exhausting endeavor of child rearing. Buy it for yourself, or someone you love.
