Overview

The Red Bottom Bandits may be the world's most fashion-forward gang of masked outlaws. They're the talk of D.C. for their daring robberies and fly gear. And their latest caper is penned by Ashley Antoinette (of Ashley & JaQuavis) at her sultry, streetwise best.

When the innocent, naïve Gucci recognizes ringleader Sunny Raegan during a holdup, that's her "in" with the Bandits. Knowing she's got a lot more beauty than brains, Gucci sees the gang as her meal ticket. More likely, they'll be her ticket to the morgue!

The Bandits may be lawless, but they play by a few simple rules: Get in and get out. . .shoot first and ask questions later. . .never leave without the money. . .and innocent people don't get hurt. But it's only a matter of time before all these rules get broken—and that's when Gucci gets caught!

If there's one thing a girl needs, it's a little help from her friends. But her "friends" have skipped town without giving her a second thought. And Sunny is distracted by her new baby and her violent ex-lover. So Gucci's on her own. She's on trial for her life, and she must decide whether to snitch on the girls—or take the fall all by herself. Whichever she chooses, it may be her death sentence.

For starters, I am anxiously waiting for the third installment of the "Prada Plan" series; the first book I ever read of Ashley and I LOVE it! Ok, I stumbled across this book when I was out shopping at KMart [totally overpaid SMH] and I decided to buy it b/c I read a previous book from her and was looking to just get into something else for the time being. While learning the leading ladies of the book, I grew an interest and was excited to see what kid of love would progress between Raegan and Nah. I grew slightly disappointed because as I continued to read, the story sounder more and more like that of the "Prada Plan". The characters, and even the storyline, held many similarities: Raegan and YaYa both had infants that were taken from them either by trifling baby's daddy's or jealous ex-girlfriends. Nahvin and Indie were both at the top of the drug game. Nah and Indie had someone under them who were trying to take over, low key. Nah and Indie both lost a loved one at the hand, or involvement, of their lady...from the thickening of the plot to the end of the story there were just a LOT of similarities; however, I continued to read because it WAS a page turner and I was genuinely interested in continuing the story. All in all, I rate this 3-stars. The story was good, not great, and definitely not bad! If there is going to be a part two, I'd still read it!
