Meet the Author

Leo Cavanagh is a guitarist and teacher living in the San Francisco Bay Area. Besides leading a jazz quintet performing his original compositions, he has composed and performed music for the Napa Valley Shakespeare Festival and transcribed the music for the Best of Michael Nesmith and the Peter Rowan Songbook. He has appeared at the Healdsburg Guitar Festival and with Arthur Fiedler and the San Francisco Pops Symphony. He is author of Guitar for Songwriters and a contributor to Music Theory with the Guitar Wheel.
